Two Pears - painting a day
"Two Pears" 5x7" contact me to purchase.
This is the second painting from my pear still life set up. For this painting I used the natural light from the window. The pear lying down gave me no end of grief, and I'm still not sure it looks like a real pear.

I love the interesting color scheme here. I'm starting to focus on studying color and it's exciting to see such variety in the approach to color in your still lifes. Thanks so much for the video--I'm sending it back tomorrow, after one more viewing today.
Thanks Jana. A friend at work took a workshop recently where they had to paint different colored blocks sitting on colored paper, so they had to paint the color in shadow and also deal with the reflected light of the surface. It sounded like a great setup to focus on seeing color.
