Sod Farm - painting a day
"Sod Farm", 5x7", oil on canvas
I painted this at the Pacific Sod Farm in Sebastopol, mostly because the view of Mt. St. Helena was so striking. I'd like to go back with a larger canvas and be able to play more with the shadows cast by the trees across the expanse of very green sod.

Interesting harmonies! I can understand if you want the mountain recognizable with great definition in the middle ground trees, the 5x7 would be difficult. The flow of the painting would be stopped making me ache with tightness.
